Jubo Dal leader shot dead in Khulna

Former Vice-President (expelled) of Jubo Dal in Daulatpur, Mahbubur Rahman Molla, was shot and killed in front of his home on Friday afternoon (July 11).

According to Daulatpur police, the attack took place around 2.00pm when three men wearing helmets arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire on Mahbubur while he was cleaning his car. The assailants also slashed the veins in both his legs to ensure his death.

Four empty bullet shells were recovered from the scene. Senior police officials inspected the area and an investigation is underway.

Daulatpur police station BNP general secretary Imam Hossain confirmed the incident. "No arrests have been made so far," he said.
