July Charter to be signed on Oct 15

The July National Charter 2025 will be signed on October 15 at the South Plaza of the National Parliament. This was stated in a press release on Thursday by the National Consensus Commission.

The release said that the signing ceremony will be led by Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of the interim government and chairperson of the National Consensus Commission. Representatives from various political parties and alliances across the country will attend the event.

Earlier on Thursday, the date for signing the accord was finalised at a meeting held at the National Consensus Commission office in the National Parliament. During the meeting, expert opinions on implementing the July Charter and feedback received from five meetings with political parties were analysed.

The meeting expressed hope that, after analysing the recommendations of experts and political parties, suggestions on the implementation of the accord and the finalised July Charter will be submitted to the government very soon.

Present at the meeting were Professor Ali Riaz, vice-chair of the commission; members Badiul Alam Majumdar, Md Emdadul Haq, Iftekharuzzaman, and Md Ayub Mia. Monir Haider, special assistant to the chief adviser involved in the consensus formation process, also participated in the meeting.
