July fighter Imran dies due to lack of treatment
Garment worker Imran Hossain,30, who was seriously injured in police firing during the July uprising in Gazipur, has died due to lack of treatment.
He died at his village home in Gazipur in the early hours of Saturday (June 14).
His body was buried in the family graveyard of Chapai Mohanpur village in Mushulli union of Nandail upazila of Mymensingh in the afternoon. He is survived by his wife and one child.
Imran Hossain is the son of Islam Uddin of the village. He was a garment worker by profession.
According to local sources, Imran was injured in police firing in Gazipur last July while participating in the student-public movement against discrimination. After being shot, his physical condition deteriorated day by day as he did not receive necessary treatment. Finally, he died due to lack of treatment.
