Junior Scholarship exams scheduled for december 21–24

This year’s Junior Scholarship Examinations for Class VIII students will be held from December 21 to 24, according to a schedule released by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) on Wednesday (September 24).

The four-day exams will cover Bangla, English, Mathematics, Science, and Bangladesh & Global Studies, with a total of 400 marks. Each test will run for three hours.

Only 25 percent of Class VIII students from approved schools will be eligible to sit for the exams. Scholarships will be awarded under both talent pool and general quotas.

Students must take their seats 30 minutes before the exam, fill out OMR sheets carefully, and avoid folding answer scripts. Approved scientific calculators will be allowed, but mobile phones and electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside centers.

The fee has been set at Tk 600 per candidate—Tk 400 as board fee and Tk 200 as center fee.
