Justice and peace cannot be established without responsible, harmonious politics: Nahid Islam
National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam has extended Janmashtami greetings to the Hindu community and all citizens of Bangladesh, calling for responsible and compassionate politics as a foundation for justice and peace in society.
In his message, Nahid Islam highlighted the historic legacy of religious and cultural coexistence in Bengal, calling it a source of national pride. He emphasized that the teachings of Lord Krishna — standing for truth, resisting injustice, and supporting the oppressed — remain deeply relevant amid rising division and mistrust in today’s world.
“Janmashtami is not just a religious occasion; it symbolizes social harmony,” he stated, adding that the NCP is committed to fostering unity and compassion across all communities.
Nahid Islam urged citizens to renew their commitment to building a harmonious Bangladesh where people of all religions and castes live with equal dignity. “Justice and peace are not possible without the politics of responsibility, compassion, and harmony,” he concluded.
