Kalshi garment factory fire under control

The fire that broke out at a garment factory in the capital's Kalshi has been brought under control. Firefighters brought the blaze under control after about two hours of effort.

Fire Service controlroom Officer Anwar confirmed the matter.

He said that the fire was brought under control at 12:05 am.

The fire broke out on the top floor of a six-story commercial building around 10:15 pm on Friday (October 24). The building also houses Bibaho Bari community center.

However, fire service officials could not immediately provide any details about the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
