Khaiyachara waterfall reopens after safety upgrades
Following the removal of dangerous stones that posed risks to visitors, the Khaiyachara waterfall has officially reopened to tourists from today.
Ashraful Alam, the range officer of the Baraiadhala Range of Chattogram North Forest Division, confirmed this.
He said, "After the unfortunate event, we took immediate action to assess and remove hazardous stones from the waterfall. Tourists will be able to visit the fountain from Friday (October 4)."
"We have also implemented adequate security measures to ensure the safety of all visitors," he added.
Earlier, the forest department had issued a temporary ban on tourist entry on September 28 to facilitate the safety renovations and address potential hazards in the area.
