BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia returned home in the early hours of Wednesday after undergoing a medical checkup at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. She left her Gulshan residence, "Firoza", shortly after 1:00 AM and returned at around 2:52 AM, according to her personal physician, Professor AZM Zahid Hossain. Professor Zahid said Khaleda Zia was taken to the hospital based on the advice of the medical board overseeing her treatment. The board is led by Evercare Hospital’s specialist Professor Shahabuddin Talukder. Earlier this year, on January 8, Khaleda Zia was flown to London for advanced medical care. After receiving treatment for 17 days at a clinic, she moved to her son Tarique Rahman's residence on January 25. She returned to Bangladesh on May 6, following a four-month stay in the UK.

বিএনপি চেয়ারপার্সন খালেদা জিয়া রাজধানীর এভারকেয়ার হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসা শেষে বুধবার ভোররাতে নিজ বাসায় ফিরেছেন। মঙ্গলবার রাত ১টার কিছু পর গুলশানের বাসভবন 'ফিরোজা' থেকে তাকে হাসপাতালে নেওয়া হয়। সেখান থেকে চিকিৎসা শেষে রাত ২টা ৫২ মিনিটে তিনি বাসায় ফিরে আসেন বলে জানান খালেদা জিয়ার ব্যক্তিগত চিকিৎসক অধ্যাপক এজেডএম জাহিদ হোসেন। তিনি বলেন, খালেদা জিয়াকে হাসপাতালে নেওয়া হয় চিকিৎসা বোর্ডের পরামর্শ অনুযায়ী। এই মেডিকেল বোর্ডের নেতৃত্ব দিচ্ছেন এভারকেয়ার হাসপাতালের চিকিৎসক অধ্যাপক শাহাবুদ্দিন তালুকদার। এর আগে চলতি বছরের ৮ জানুয়ারি উন্নত চিকিৎসার জন্য খালেদা জিয়াকে লন্ডনে নেওয়া হয়। সেখানে ১৭ দিন একটি ক্লিনিকে চিকিৎসা নেওয়ার পর তিনি ২৫ জানুয়ারি ছেলে তারেক রহমানের বাসায় উঠেন। চার মাস যুক্তরাজ্যে অবস্থানের পর তিনি ৬ মে দেশে ফেরেন।
