Khaleda Zia’s condition shows slight improvement: Information Adviser

BNP chairperson and former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia’s physical condition has shown slight improvement compared to earlier, interim government information adviser Mahfuz Alam has said. He shared the update after visiting Khaleda Zia late on Sunday night at Evercare Hospital in the capital.

Speaking to journalists after the visit, Mahfuz Alam said, “I came on my own initiative to check on Khaleda Zia. Given all she has done and sacrificed for the country, I prayed for her swift recovery.”

He said that after discussing with doctors, he learned that Khaleda Zia’s condition remains stable, with minor improvement. Doctors expect further positive progress in the coming days.

The adviser added, “We all hope she recovers fully and continues to contribute to the democratic reconstruction of the country. Along with those who played a role in the July uprising, we want to build a new Bangladesh.”

When asked about acting chairman Tarique Rahman’s return to the country, he said, “The current government is prepared to extend all cooperation regarding his return.”

According to hospital sources, prayers for Khaleda Zia’s recovery continue from party members and people across the country.
