Khaleda Zia's treatment to continue at Tarique Rahman's residence
Preparations have been made to continue the treatment of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at the residence of Tarique Rahman in Kingstown, London, according to Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, a member of the party's standing committee.
Dr. Hossain shared this update during a briefing to the reporters in front of The Clinic at 10:30 pm (local time) on Thursday (January 23).
He said, "Arrangements have been made to provide home-based treatment, ensuring that doctors and nurses have the necessary facilities."
Khaleda Zia is expected to return to London residence on the night of Friday, January 24. Even after her return, she will continue receiving care under the supervision of Dr. Patrick Kennedy and Dr. Jennifer Cross.
Dr. Hossain also requested prayers from the people of Bangladesh for her recovery. He added, "If her condition improves, Khaleda Zia will return to the country soon. No decision has been made regarding a liver transplant, and her treatment will continue with medication."
Khaleda Zia arrived in London on January 8, aboard a special flight sent by the Emir of Qatar for advanced medical care. She was immediately admitted to The Clinic, a specialized private hospital in London, where she has been receiving treatment under the care of Professor John Patrick Kennedy.
