Khamenei's absentee funeral prayer at Dhaka University

The absentee funeral prayer or Salat al-Gha'ib of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was held at Dhaka University (DU).

DUCSU VP Abu Shadik Kayem led the prayer held at the university's VC premises at 10:30 pm on Sunday (March 1).

After the funeral, a protest march was taken out under the leadership of the DUCSU leaders. The march started from the VC premises, went through Halpara and ended at the TSC's anti-terrorism Raju sculpture. Later, a short rally was held there.

DUCSU leaders said that wherever there has been an attempt to establish the rights of the masses in the world, America has intervened.

They referred to Iran's Islamic Revolution as a 'role model' for the whole world. They also commented that the attack targeting the supreme leader of a country is undemocratic behavior.
