Advisor Mahfuz Alam stated that the chief advisor will soon hold a larger-scale dialogue with student organization leaders.

He made the remark on behalf of Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus during a media briefing following a dialogue between the Chief Advisor and religious leaders on Thursday (December 5).

Mahfuj said, "After listening to the religious leaders, the Chief Advisor delivered a message to both pro- and anti-Bangladesh forces worldwide."

"The message was: The people of Bangladesh are united, and after the July uprising, the government will actively prevent any conspiracies. It will not tolerate stubborn acts and will focus on fostering national unity," Mahfuj said.

He said that strengthening national solidarity will help Bangladesh overcome external conspiracies. With political, communal, and broader unity, no external propaganda can hinder the country's progress, as emphasized by the Chief Advisor.

"while some oppression against Hindus and other communities may occur, the government is taking measures, such as in the Sunamganj incident. The media should publicize these actions, so citizens can live without fear and interact freely. Religious leaders should come forward to support national unity, aiming to strengthen Bangladesh’s political platform and global standing," he said.

"We are not issuing press notes. Instead, we urge that the truth be presented wherever such incidents occur in Bangladesh, and we will take immediate action. The law will determine who is guilty, without considering religion, caste, or creed," he added.

In response to a question about the Indian media report, he said, "India must recognize the July uprising and the genocide led by Sheikh Hasina. The government has taken initiatives regarding all types of oppression here. We will do our utmost. In relations with India, their media must play a role. I have requested them to look into their issues. Propaganda is a threat to the friendship between the two countries. We hope they will agree. The responsibility of the Bangladeshi media is to present the truth. The truth must prevail. We have to protect our mass uprising."

"A bigger issue than Indian aggression is how much we've strengthened ourselves. It’s about our unity and preparedness. Aggression can come from many countries, but our focus is on increasing our strength and becoming stronger—that is the vision," he added.

Regarding the proposal for an international religious harmony conference, Mahfuz Alam said, "It is a proposal, and the advisory council will review it. I am willing to take any initiative for the betterment of the country and its people, and I will do so."

Mahfuz Alam also assured that the government will work internationally to counter anti-national propaganda.

"We’ve discussed our strategy in the advisory council and hope for fruitful steps soon. The press wing has been leading this effort, and we believe the people and media are revolutionizing social media, which we can showcase globally," he finished.
