Law and order situation will be our top priority if voted to power: Tarique Rahman

BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman said that if BNP wins the election, special importance will be given to the improvement of the law and order situation in the country, so that people can feel safe.

He made the remarks while casting his vote at Gulshan Model High School in the capital on Thursday (February 12). He entered the polling station at 9:36 am and cast his vote and came out at 9:50 am to talk to the media. He was accompanied by his wife Dr. Zubaida Rahman and daughter Zaima Rahman.

After casting his vote, Tarique Rahman expressed satisfaction at being able to exercise his voting rights after a long time. At the same time, he expressed strong optimism about BNP's victory.

He told reporters that the people of Bangladesh have been waiting for this day for more than a decade.

Tarique Rahman expressed hope that the people of the country will spontaneously exercise their voting rights and usher in a new democratic Bangladesh.

Referring to some of the untoward incidents reported from all over the country last night, he said that the law enforcement agencies have taken strict control over it, which seems promising to him.

Urging voters and party leaders and activists to stay at the polling stations till the end, Tarique Rahman said that if people come to the polling stations all day and exercise their rights, then Insha Allah any conspiracy can be thwarted.

When asked how optimistic he is about winning the election, he said, 'I am Insha Allah optimistic, strongly optimistic about winning.'

Tarique Rahman said that if BNP forms the government, the highest priority will be to improve the law and order situation so that the common people can feel safe in the country.

The BNP Chairman also emphasized the participation and empowerment of women. He said that women constitute half of the total population of the country. It is not possible to develop the country by leaving them behind. According to the election manifesto, the work of evaluating and empowering women will start from the first day.

Tarique Rahman concluded his speech by expressing his hope for a beautiful and stable future with everyone.
