Law enforcement agencies will be vigilant ahead of Eid: Home Secretary

Home Secretary Nasimul Ghani i said that law enforcement agencies will be very vigilant ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr. Hopefully, nothing unexpected will happen.

He said this in response to a question from reporters after the meeting of the procurement committee at the Cabinet Division at the Secretariat on Thursday (March 27).

The senior secretary said, our law enforcement agencies are not on leave. They will be vigilant for all work. A large number of people will go from Dhaka to their villages during the Eid holidays. We are trying to make their journey pleasant. In this regard, we are moving forward with the cooperation of those involved in the transport sector. Hopefully, nothing unexpected will happen. The law enforcement agencies will be very vigilant. Hopefully, Allah will protect us under the blanket of mercy.

The senior secretary said, the police have a 24-hour job. The police station was started in 1961 but their work has never stopped.

He said, additional vigilance has been taken for highway safety. The highway police is very active. Passengers can see for themselves. Our force was not active earlier. Alhamdulillah our police force is now active. They are trying, this effort will continue. There may be talk about performance but they are trying.
