Law enforcement officials not exempted from ‘Devil Hunt’: Home Adviser

Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retd.) said, ‘Those who are devils will be caught in the 'Devil Hunt' operation. Law enforcement officials were not exempted either. The operation will continue until everyone is free from devils.’

He was speaking to reporters at the Rajshahi District Commissioner’s Office after exchanging views with various forces on the law and order situation in Rajshahi on Monday afternoon.

Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said, ‘All measures have been taken to ensure that no innocent person is punished in Operation Devil Hunt. There are multiple committees for this.’

The Home Affairs Adviser said that the prices of daily necessities will be tolerable during Ramadan. Because the supply of chickpeas and dates is good. The Home Affairs Adviser expressed satisfaction with the role played by the people of Chapainawabganj during the Indian aggression on the border and said, we are happy with it. However, no one should take the law into their own hands.

Senior police officers, senior officers of the army, BGB, and RAB on duty in Rajshahi were present at the meeting.
