A Supreme Court lawyer has issued a legal notice to the government, demanding the immediate cancellation of all electricity contracts with Adani Enterprises Limited. Barrister M Qayyum sent the legal notice to the Registrar by post. on Wednesday morning (November 6). If Adani does not initiate the contract review process within three days, he will file a writ petition in the High Court, the notice read. Meanwhile, the Adani Group is exerting pressure on the Bangladesh government to settle its outstanding electricity dues.

বিদুৎ নিয়ে আদানির সঙ্গে সব চুক্তি বাতিল চেয়ে সরকারকে লিগ্যাল নোটিশ পাঠিয়েছেন সুপ্রিম কোর্টের এক আইনজীবী। বুধবার (৬ নভেম্বর) সকালে রেজিস্ট্রার ডাকযোগে ব্যারিস্টার এম কাইয়ুম এই লিগ্যাল নোটিশ পাঠান। আইনি নোটিশে অবিলম্বে অন্যায্য একতরফা চুক্তি পুনর্বিবেচনা অথবা পুরোটাই বাতিল চাওয়া হয়েছে। তিনদিনের মধ্যে আদানিকে এই ঘটনায় চুক্তি পুনর্বিবেচনার কার্যক্রম শুরু না করলে হাইকোর্টে রিট করা হবে বলেও জানিয়েছেন ব্যারিস্টার এম কাইয়ুম। এদিকে, বিদ্যুতের বকেয়া পরিশোধের জন্য বাংলাদেশ সরকারকে তাগাদা দিচ্ছে ভারতীয় বিদ্যুৎ কোম্পানি আদানি গ্রুপ।
