A letter has been sent requesting the deployment of a sufficient number of military personnel to ensure strict security in and around the International Crimes Tribunal ahead of the verdict in the case against three accused, including Sheikh Hasina, for crimes against humanity.

The letter was sent on Saturday, November 15, by the Supreme Court administration. On Sunday, November 16, Supreme Court administration sources confirmed the letter.

Sources say that due to the current situation in the country and the sensitivity of the case, any untoward incident may occur in and around the International Crimes Tribunal and Supreme Court areas. There is a risk of law and order deterioration or disruption of security, which is why the letter requests deployment of adequate military personnel on Monday.

Earlier, a similar letter was sent last Thursday ahead of the verdict announcement, and military personnel were deployed accordingly at the Supreme Court and the tribunal.
