Light rain likely in Dhaka, temperature may drop slightly

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light rain in Dhaka and nearby areas today, with a slight drop in daytime temperatures expected.

According to the six-hour weather bulletin issued at 7.00am on Wednesday (June 25), skies may remain partly cloudy, and winds are likely to blow from the south and southeast at 10 to 15 km/h. Dhaka recorded a temperature of 28.6°C at 6am, with humidity at 82%.

The highest temperature in the capital on Tuesday was 35.1°C, while the lowest was 28.2°C. Only trace rainfall was recorded in the past 24 hours.

Elsewhere, rain with thunder or light to moderate showers accompanied by temporary gusty winds is likely in most areas of Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, and in many parts of Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions. Moderate to heavy rainfall is possible in isolated parts of the country.

Both day and night temperatures are expected to decrease slightly nationwide.
