List of public holidays for 2026 approved

The Advisory Council of the interim government has approved the list of public holidays for 2026.

The decision was made at a meeting chaired by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at his office in Tejgaon on Thursday afternoon.

Next year will have a total of 28 holidays, of which 9 will coincide with weekends on Fridays and Saturdays.

After the meeting, Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam shared the information with journalists at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital.
