Despite the start of the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday, long queues of vehicles were seen at filling stations in the capital for fuel oil.

Visiting the Sonar Bangla Service Station at Asad Gate around 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 17, it was observed that the queue of vehicles for fuel at the pump stretched over a kilometre.

Various vehicles including motorcycles, private cars, minibuses and pickups were waiting for fuel at the filling station. However, the queue of motorcycles was shorter compared to other days.

Customers said that on other days they would have to wait longer, but today the waiting time is comparatively less.

Meanwhile, at Talukdar Filling Station in Asad Gate, fuel was being supplied from morning but was stopped shortly before 10:00 am. At that time, there was a long queue of vehicles waiting to get fuel. Later around 10:30 am, a queue of over a hundred vehicles was seen there.

Talukdar Filling Station cashier Md Azam said fuel had run out, so supply has been temporarily stopped. It will resume once more fuel arrives.
