Long-time train travel without ticket, woman pays 25 thousand taka after realizing mistake

A woman of Pabna has deposited Tk 25 thousand with the railway authority after realizing her mistake of travelling by train without ticket for a long time. However, she requested to keep her identity secret while depositing the money.

The woman passenger deposited that money by going to the ticket booking counter of Ishwardi Railway Junction station of Pabna on Saturday (September 12) afternoon.

Senior Ticket Examiner of Ishwardi Railway Junction Abdul Alim Biswas Mithu informed that the woman used to work in an institution. By virtue of the job she used to travel without ticket for a long time by boarding the train from Ishwardi station to various destinations including Bheramara Railway Station of Kushtia.

Later realizing her own mistake she took the initiative to correct the matter. For this she contacted Railway Traffic Superintendent AKM Nurul Alam. With his advice and cooperation the woman came to Ishwardi station on Saturday and deposited Tk 25 thousand with the railway authority.

Senior Ticket Examiner Abdul Alim Biswas Mithu said realizing the matter of travelling without ticket for a long time the woman has voluntarily deposited the money with the railway authority. He mentioned the initiative of returning the money in this way by admitting her own mistake as a positive and exemplary example.
