Looted police firearms and ammunition have been recovered from the Alinagar area under Pallabi Police Station in the capital. Pallabi police conducted an operation early Tuesday morning at an under-construction building in Sagufta Housing and recovered the weapons. According to police sources, a search was conducted on the second floor of the building based on secret information. A 12-bore shotgun, 27 rounds of cartridges, 10 rounds of Chinese rifle ammunition and two empty bullet casings were found there. The recovered weapons have been preliminarily confirmed as looted police property. Legal action is underway regarding the incident.

রাজধানীর পল্লবী থানাধীন আলীনগর এলাকা থেকে পুলিশের লুণ্ঠিত অস্ত্র ও গুলি উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে। মঙ্গলবার ভোরে সাগুফতা হাউজিংয়ের একটি নির্মাণাধীন ভবনে অভিযান চালিয়ে এসব অস্ত্র উদ্ধার করে পল্লবী থানা পুলিশ। পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা যায়, গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে ভবনের দ্বিতীয় তলায় তল্লাশি চালানো হয়। সেখানে একটি ১২ বোর শর্টগান, ২৭ রাউন্ড কার্তুজ, ১০ রাউন্ড চাইনিজ রাইফেলের গুলি এবং দুই রাউন্ড খালি কার্তুজের খোসা পাওয়া যায়। উদ্ধার হওয়া এসব অস্ত্র পুলিশের লুণ্ঠিত মালামাল বলে প্রাথমিকভাবে নিশ্চিত করা হয়েছে। এ ঘটনায় আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা প্রক্রিয়াধীন রয়েছে।
