The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has increased the price of 12-kg Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders by Tk 70. The new price for consumers has been set at Tk 1,598 per cylinder, up from Tk 1,528. BERC announced the new LPG prices for August in a notification on Sunday (August 2). The notification said the new price includes VAT at the retail level. The new price came into effect from 6pm on Sunday and will remain in force until further notice.

গৃহস্থালিতে ব্যবহৃত ১২ কেজি তরলীকৃত পেট্রোলিয়াম গ্যাস (এলপিজি) সিলিন্ডারের দাম ৭০ টাকা বাড়িয়েছে বাংলাদেশ এনার্জি রেগুলেটরি কমিশন (বিইআরসি)। ফলে ভোক্তা পর্যায়ে মূসকসহ ১২ কেজি সিলিন্ডারের নতুন দাম নির্ধারণ করা হয়েছে ১ হাজার ৫৯৮ টাকা, যা আগে ছিল ১ হাজার ৫২৮ টাকা। রোববার (২ আগস্ট) বিইআরসি এক বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে আগস্ট ২০২৬ মাসের জন্য নতুন এ মূল্য ঘোষণা করে। বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে জানানো হয়, নতুন দাম রোববার সন্ধ্যা ৬টা থেকে কার্যকর হবে এবং পরবর্তী নির্দেশনা না দেওয়া পর্যন্ত এ মূল্য বহাল থাকবে।
