LPG price slashed, 12kg cylinder now costs Tk 1,528
The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has significantly reduced the retail price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), bringing welcome relief to consumers.
Under the latest revision, the price of a 12kg LPG cylinder has been cut to Tk 1,528, down from the previous Tk 1,885.
The new prices were announced on Thursday (July 2) and will come into effect from this evening, the regulator said.
BERC has also lowered the price of autogas, reducing it from Tk 86.93 per litre to Tk 70.40 per litre.
The latest adjustment comes just a month after the regulator's previous price review. On June 2, BERC reduced the price of a 12kg LPG cylinder from Tk 1,940 to Tk 1,885, while the price of autogas was cut from Tk 89.50 to Tk 86.93 per litre.
The latest reduction marks one of the largest monthly price cuts in recent months, offering significant relief to households and transport users who rely on LPG and autogas.
