Lt Gen Mushfiqur Rahman assumes charge as PSO of Armed Forces Division

Lieutenant General Mir Mushfiqur Rahman has officially taken charge as the Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of the Armed Forces Division.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman pinned the lieutenant general’s rank insignia on him during the ceremony held Monday (February 23), according to a press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The event was attended by General Waker-uz-Zaman, Chief of Army Staff, Admiral M Nazmul Hasan, Chief of Naval Staff, and Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan, Chief of Air Staff.

Commissioned into the Bangladesh Army’s Corps of Infantry on June 21, 1991, Lt Gen Mir Mushfiqur Rahman has held key positions including GOC of the 24th Division, Military Secretary, and Director General of the Defence Procurement Directorate.
