Madrasa teacher held for raping child in Natore

Police arrested Abdul Aziz, 22, a teacher at Darul Hikmah Model Madrasa in Lalpur upazila, Natore, on Saturday night, February 28, on charges of raping a child student.

Abdul Aziz is the son of Azizul Haque from Sapahar upazila in Naogaon district. The victim child has been admitted to Lalpur Upazila Health Complex.

According to police and local sources, Abdul Aziz allegedly took Farabi Hossain, 9, a residential student of Darul Hikmah Model Madrasa, while he was sleeping around midnight on Friday and raped him. Bleeding occurred, and the child informed his family. Family members admitted the child to the upazila health complex on Saturday. Farabi Hossain's home is in Ramkrishnapur village of Lalpur upazila.

Lalpur Police Station OC Mojibur Rahman said the accused madrasa teacher has been detained and is in police custody. Legal action will be taken after investigation.
