Magura child’s health condition slightly improves
The condition of the child who was raped in Magura has slightly improved, as she has blinked her eyes for the first time since being admitted to the hospital, said Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser Abdul Kalam Azad Majumder.
He shared the update during a briefing at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka on Monday afternoon.
According to Majumder, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on Defence Lieutenant General (retd) Abdul Hafiz has been in regular contact with the child's doctors.
Following discussions with medical professionals, it was confirmed that while the child’s condition remains critical, there has been a slight improvement.
"The oxygen supply to her brain was disrupted due to suffocation, and fluid has accumulated in her brain, which doctors have been unable to remove so far," he said. "However, the air trapped in her chest has been cleared. Doctors are hopeful that her condition may improve further within the next couple of days."
The child is currently receiving treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Paediatric ICU in Dhaka.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed this information early on Sunday.
