Major reshuffle in top ranks of Ansar

The government has made significant top-level changes in the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party, transferring nine officers holding the rank of Deputy Director General (DDG).

They were transferred through a separate notification issued by the Ansar Branch-1 of the Public Security Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday (August 25).

The officers transferred include Deputy Commander of Ansar Academy, Nurul Hasan Faridi, who has been reassigned to Khulna Range; Chattogram Range DDG, Saifullah Russell, now posted to Headquarters (Operations); Khulna Range DDG, Shah Ahmad Fazle Rabbi, transferred to Rajshahi Range; Sylhet DDG, Mohammad Abdul Awal, moved to Mymensingh; and Rajshahi Range DDG, Kamrun Nahar, who has been appointed as Deputy Commander of Ansar Academy.

Besides, DDG Operations Fakhrul Alam from Headquarters has been transferred to Barisal Range, DDG Saifur Rahman from Mymensingh Range to Chattogram Range, DDG Ashraful Alam from Barisal Range to Dhaka Range, and DDG Ziaul Hasan from Dhaka Range to Sylhet Range.
