Police arrested a man on Sunday in connection with the vandalism of seven idols at Taryapara Temple in Sarishabari upazila, Jamalpur.
The incident occurred late Saturday night when the idols, crafted for the upcoming Durga Puja, were damaged. According to authorities, the suspect, Habibur Rahman, 35, of Shimlapalli village, entered the temple after the artisans had left and smashed the heads and other parts of the idols.
