Rab has captured a 46-year-old man on charge of raping a seven-year-old girl in Dhaka's Rupnagar area on October 6. The arrestee is Ibrahim Molla, a neighbour of the victim. A team of Rab picked him up from Birulia area in Savar early today, Shihab Karim, assistant director of Rab-2, said. The Rab official said as the child got caught in the rain outside their home on that day, Ibrahim Molla lured her by offering toys and food. He gave her Tk 20 and took the girl in his room and raped her. The family members along with the neighbours rescued the girl after Ibrahim fled, he said.

গত ৬ অক্টোবর ঢাকার রূপনগরে ৭ বছরের এক কিশোরীকে ধর্ষণের ঘটনায় এক ব্যক্তিকে আটক করেছে র‌্যাব সদস্যরা। গ্রেপ্তারকৃত ইব্রাহিম মোল্লা (৪৬) নিহতের প্রতিবেশী।আজ বৃহস্পতিবার ভোরে সাভারের বিরুলিয়া এলাকা থেকে অভিযুক্তকে আটক করা হয় বলে জানান র‌্যাব-২ এর সহকারী পরিচালক শিহাব করিম।তিনি আরও জানান, ওই দিন শিশুটি তাদের বাড়ির বাইরে বৃষ্টিতে আটকা পড়লে ইব্রাহিম মোল্লা তাকে খেলনা ও খাবার দিয়ে প্রলুব্ধ করে। ২০ টাকা দিয়ে মেয়েটিকে তার ঘরে নিয়ে ধর্ষণ করে। ইব্রাহিম পালিয়ে যাওয়ার পর পরিবারের সদস্যরা ও প্রতিবেশীরা মেয়েটিকে উদ্ধার করে।
