Man killed after falling from train roof in Mymensingh

An unidentified young man was killed after falling from the roof of a moving train in Mymensingh city, police said on Saturday morning.

The accident occurred around 10:45am in the Sankipara area of the city.

According to Mymensingh Railway Police, the Dewanganj Commuter Train, which was travelling from Dhaka to Jamalpur, had reached the Sankipara area when the young man suddenly fell from the roof of the train.

He died at the scene from his injuries.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Akhtar Hossain of Mymensingh Railway Police Station said officers recovered the body after receiving information about the incident.

“The body has been recovered from the scene, and efforts are underway to identify the deceased,” the OC said.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are working to determine the victim’s identity.
