Expressing deep concern over the current global war situation, parliament whip ABM Ashraf Uddin Nizan (MP) has said a large number of people in the capital may be forced to leave Dhaka in search of safe shelter within the next two months if the ongoing international conflict does not end soon.

He made the remarks during a brief speech before Jummah prayers at Dhamai Cha Jame Mosque in Laksham South Bypass area of Cumilla on Friday, April 3, while on his way to attend an event in Kamalnagar upazila, Lakshmipur.

The whip said the ongoing global instability and war situation are not limited to the international arena; their impact could also affect Bangladesh's internal stability.

He further said if this global conflict continues, the country's situation could become even more dire than during the 1971 Liberation War. Everyone must remain aware and prepared from now on.

He called upon the people of the country to remain mentally prepared to tackle the emerging situation. He also advised patience, caution and awareness in observing the current situation.
