Manzil Morshed leaves for Canada to attend seminar on Expatriate Tribunal
Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh (HRPB) President and lawyer Manzil Morshed has left Dhaka for Toronto, Canada, to attend a seminar titled “The Need for Establishing an Expatriate Tribunal in Bangladesh.”
According to a press release issued by HRPB, he left Dhaka for Toronto on a flight Wednesday night (September 16).
The seminar will be held in Toronto on September 19, organised by HRPB’s Canada chapter. Manzil Morshed is scheduled to speak as the chief guest.
Former Canadian Minister for International Cooperation and former House of Commons member Maria Minna is expected to attend the event as a special guest. Leaders of the Bangladeshi expatriate community in Canada are also expected to speak at the seminar.
According to the press release, the seminar will discuss the need for establishing a separate tribunal in Bangladesh for expatriates, along with related issues.
