Mashrafe among 90 sued in Narail
A case has been filed against 90 people, including former Bangladesh cricket team captain and former MP of Narail-2 constituency Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, for allegedly attacking students and others during the anti-discrimination protests.
Sheikh Mostafa AL-Muzahidur Rahman Palash filed the case at Narail Sadar Police Station on Tuesday night. Saiful Islam, the officer-in-charge of the station, confirmed the matter.
The people accused include Mashrafe’s father, Golam Mortaza Swapan; Advocate Subas Chandra Bose, the District Awami League President and former Zilla Parishad Chairman; Nizam Uddin Khan Nilu, the District Awami League General Secretary and former Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman; Sardar, the District Awami League Organizing Secretary and Bus Owners Association President; as well as other Awami League leaders, activists, and members of allied organizations.
