Measles outbreak: All leave of health institutions employees cancelled

To deal with the emergency situation due to the increase in the outbreak of measles-related pneumonia among children in the country, all leave of doctors, officials and employees of all health institutions under the Directorate General of Health Services and its affiliated institutions has been cancelled.

This information was given in an office order signed by the Director (Administration) of the Directorate General of Health Services, Professor Dr. Jalaluddin Mohammad Rumi on Tuesday (May 19).

The order said that in order to ensure uninterrupted medical services during the emergency and strengthen vaccination activities to prevent measles, the earned leave and casual leave of those working in the Directorate General of Health Services and all institutions under the Directorate General of Health Services have been suspended or cancelled.

It further said that this directive, issued with the approval of the appropriate authorities, will come into effect immediately.
