Four more children have died from measles-like symptoms across the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). The latest deaths, reported on Friday, May 1, have brought the total number of suspected measles fatalities since March 15 to 231. Meanwhile, the number of confirmed measles deaths since mid-March stands at 49. The DGHS also reported that 115 new confirmed measles cases were detected in the last 24 hours, with 1,170 new suspected cases reported nationwide during the same period. Since March 15, a total of 26,100 suspected measles patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country. Of them, 22,650 have recovered and been discharged after receiving treatment.

দেশে গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় হামের উপসর্গ নিয়ে আরও ৪ শিশুর মৃত্যু হয়েছে। চলতি বছর এখন পর্যন্ত হাম আক্রান্ত হয়ে মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা দাঁড়িয়েছে ৪৯ জনে। শুক্রবার&nbsp;(১ মে) দুপুরে স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের নিয়মিত প্রতিবেদনে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়েছে। ১৫ মার্চ থেকে এখন পর্যন্ত হামে আক্রান্ত হয়ে মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা দাঁড়িয়েছে ৪৯ জনে। অন্যদিকে সন্দেহজনক হাম রোগে মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা দাঁড়িয়েছে ২৩১। স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তর জানিয়েছে, গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় নিশ্চিত হাম শনাক্ত হয়েছে ১১৫ জনের। এ নিয়ে ১৫ মার্চ থেকে এখন পর্যন্ত নিশ্চিত হামে আক্রান্ত রোগীর সংখ্যা দাঁড়িয়েছে ৫ হাজার ১৪৬।
