Medical admission test set for December 12

The government has fixed December 12 for the 2025–26 MBBS admission test across all public and private medical colleges in Bangladesh.

In a significant change, the examination will now include a written segment alongside the MCQ section for the first time, according to a decision made at a Health Ministry meeting on Monday (October 6).

Director General of the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME), Professor Dr. Nazmul Islam, confirmed the date, saying preparations are already underway.

He added that the written portion may carry 10–20 marks, with final details to be set by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC).

The DGME said detailed guidelines and the application schedule will be released about six weeks before the exam.
