President of World Bank Group Ajay Banga has held a side-line meeting with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman who is staying in New York to join the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly at the United Nations headquarters. They discussed various issues related to Bangladesh’s development priorities, economic progress and mutual interest at the meeting held on Tuesday. Exchange of views was held at the meeting on further strengthening the cooperation of the World Bank in the development activities of Bangladesh. Alongside the Prime Minister and the President of World Bank Group also discussed the possibilities of further expanding the fields of mutual partnership in the future.

জাতিসংঘ সাধারণ পরিষদের ৮১তম অধিবেশনে যোগ দিতে নিউইয়র্কে অবস্থানরত প্রধানমন্ত্রী তারেক রহমানের সঙ্গে জাতিসংঘ সদর দপ্তরে সাইডলাইন বৈঠক করেছেন বিশ্বব্যাংক গ্রুপের প্রেসিডেন্ট অজয় বাঙ্গা। মঙ্গলবার অনুষ্ঠিত বৈঠকে বাংলাদেশের উন্নয়ন অগ্রাধিকার, অর্থনৈতিক অগ্রগতি এবং পারস্পরিক স্বার্থসংশ্লিষ্ট বিভিন্ন বিষয় নিয়ে আলোচনা করেন তারা। বৈঠকে বাংলাদেশের উন্নয়ন কার্যক্রমে বিশ্বব্যাংকের সহযোগিতা আরও জোরদার করার বিষয়ে মতবিনিময় হয়। পাশাপাশি ভবিষ্যতে পারস্পরিক অংশীদারত্বের ক্ষেত্রগুলো আরও সম্প্রসারণের সম্ভাবনা নিয়েও আলোচনা করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও বিশ্বব্যাংক গ্রুপের প্রেসিডেন্ট।
