Milestone School and College extends holiday for two more days
A military aircraft recently crashed at Milestone School and College in capital's Uttara. In remembrance of those who tragically lost their lives and to pray for the swift recovery of the injured, the school has announced Sunday and Monday (July 27 and 28) as holidays.
Following the principal's instructions, the Director (Education) Md Shamim Munshi issued an urgent notice on Saturday (July 26).
The notice stated, "We are deeply mournful over this tragic incident involving our students, teachers, staff, and guardians, both those who have passed and those injured. Our sincere condolences go out to all the grieving families."
It added, "To honor the departed souls and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured, as well as to show respect for those involved in the rescue efforts and express sympathy to all affected families, Milestone School and College will remain closed on Sunday (July 27) and Monday (July 28). All classes and exams at Milestone College will be canceled for these two days."
It is worth noting that on Monday (July 21), a military aircraft crashed into a building on the campus of Milestone School and College in Uttara. This remains the largest military air crash in the country's history, with 35 confirmed deaths so far, most of whom were children.
