Milestone student Naveed discharged after 97 days in hospital

After 97 days of treatment, a Milestone School and College student injured in the Uttara jet crash has been discharged from the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

Naveed Newaz, 12, a seventh-grade student of the institution, was discharged on Monday noon (October 27).

Institute Director Dr. Mohammad Nasir Uddin said Naveed has fully recovered following 38 surgeries during his long treatment.

Naveed was critically burnt in the July 21 training aircraft crash in Uttara’s Diabari area. He was initially taken to CMH and later transferred to the burn institute.
