Following the tragic crash of a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft on the campus of Milestone School and College in Uttara, India has expressed willingness to provide all possible medical assistance to the injured.

The Indian High Commission in Dhaka officially communicated this offer to the Government of Bangladesh via a letter on Tuesday, after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a condolence message. An official from the Indian Embassy confirmed the development.

In the letter, India assured full support and requested that Bangladesh inform them if any specialized medical treatment is required for the critically injured.

Prime Minister Modi had earlier expressed his condolences through a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Deeply pained and saddened by the loss of lives in the tragic plane crash in Dhaka, where many of the deceased were young students.”

The death toll in the accident has now risen to 27, including 25 children under the age of 12. Additionally, 78 people are currently undergoing treatment at various hospitals, with five reported to be in critical condition.
