Mirpur becomes DMP's best division and police station in July

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has awarded its best police officers and units for July in recognition of their contributions to maintaining law and order, controlling crime and ensuring public safety in the capital. Police Inspector General (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir and DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed handed over the awards to the winners in various categories at the monthly crime review meeting held at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium in Rajarbagh on Thursday morning.

In the crime division evaluation, Mirpur Division was ranked first, while Mirpur Police Station was also recognised as the best police station for July. Uttara-West Police Station came second and Badda Police Station third. Among Assistant Police Commissioners, Md Shamim Hossain of the Demra Zone ranked first, followed by Md Abdullah Al Mamun of the Mohammadpur Zone in second place.

Among Sub-Inspectors (SI), Md Saiful Islam of Pallabi Police Station ranked first, followed by Debashish Mondal of Bhatara Police Station and Amit Kumar Biswas of Paltan Model Police Station in second and third place respectively. Among Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASI), Nazmul Islam of Jatrabari Police Station ranked first, followed by Nader Ali of Mohammadpur Police Station.

In the DMP Detective Branch evaluation, the Detective-Wari Division was ranked best, with Additional Deputy Police Commissioner Md Fazlul Karim of the Wari Zonal Team selected as the best team leader. In the Traffic Division, Traffic-Wari Division was ranked first. Among Traffic Sergeants, Md Samshuddin Sarkar of the Mirpur Traffic Zone ranked first, followed by Md Shahriar Khan of Jatrabari Traffic Zone in second place.

The monthly crime review meeting was attended by senior DMP officials, along with Deputy Police Commissioners, Additional Deputy Police Commissioners, Assistant Police Commissioners, Officers-in-Charge of police stations, and police officers of various ranks from different units.
