Mirpur Test to offer free entry for spectators without tickets
Bangladesh will host the West Indies for a two-match red-ball series under the ICC World Test Championship, with the first Test scheduled to begin in Dhaka on 28 October and the second in Sylhet from 5 November.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced free entry for spectators wishing to watch the opening Test in Mirpur.
In a statement issued on Friday (23 October), the BCB said spectators would be able to enter the stadium’s north and south stands without tickets on all five days of the Mirpur Test.
However, the special free-entry arrangement will not apply to all sections of the stadium. Existing ticket requirements will remain in place for the Grand Stand, Shaheed Jewel Stand, Shaheed Mushtaq Stand, as well as other VIP and hospitality areas.
