Mirza Abbas's condition improving, family seeks prayers
The physical condition of Prime Minister's Political Adviser Mirza Abbas, who is undergoing treatment at Singapore General Hospital, is improving, Social Welfare Minister and BNP Standing Committee member A Z M Zahid Hossain has said.
He said, "I spoke with the doctors; they are giving positive signs on various parameters. His condition is improving, Alhamdulillah. Brain-related matters take some time. Family members have requested everyone to pray for him."
He shared this information with journalists on Monday, March 23.
BNP leader Mirza Abbas was taken to Singapore General Hospital by air ambulance on March 15.
Mirza Abbas's Personal Secretary Mizanur Rahman Sohel, who is in Singapore, said doctors sat him on a chair from the bed around 10:00 am on Monday. "This is a positive sign. He is slowly able to speak. His treatment is ongoing under the doctors' close observation. His family requests the nation to pray for him."
Sohel said Mirza Abbas's wife Afroza Abbas and son Yasir Abbas are by his side at the hospital at all times.
