Mirza Fakhrul collects nomination papers from Thakurgaon-1

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has collected party's nomination papers from Thakurgaon-1 constituency in the upcoming 13th National Parliament election. Former district BNP vice-president Nur-e-Shahadat Swajan collected the nomination forms on his behalf on Thursday (December 18) afternoon.

District Election Officer Md. Waliullah confirmed the matter and said that the nomination forms have been collected in the name of Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. A member of his family has accepted the nomination forms as a representative.

Thakurgaon-1 constituency has long been known as Mirza Fakhrul's political base. The news of the collection of nomination forms has generated widespread discussion and interest among local BNP leaders and activists and ordinary voters.

Nur-e-Shahadat Swajan said that he collected the nomination forms on behalf of the party today. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has been working for BNP with dedication for a long time and his political influence in Thakurgaon-1 constituency is unwavering. He expressed hope that voters will have faith in Mirza Fakhrul this time too.

Earlier on November 3, Mirza Fakhrul himself announced the list of candidates for 237 seats in the 13th National Parliament election at a press conference held at the BNP Chairperson's office in Gulshan, the capital. He announced his name in the list for Thakurgaon-1 constituency.
