Mirza Fakhrul suddenly becomes ill at National Memorial

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has become ill while paying tribute to the martyrs of 1971 liberation war at the Savar National Memorial on the occasion of the Great Victory Day.

He fell ill and lay down on the ground while speaking to journalists around 10am on Monday (December 16). He was immediately rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.

BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed this information to media.

He said BNP Standing Committee members Professor Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, Salauddin Ahmed and BNP leader Habibunnabi Khan Sohel accompanied Mirza Fakhrul to the hospital.
