Miscreants set bus on fire in Mirpur

A passenger bus of Alif Transport was set ablaze in the Senpara area of Mirpur on Friday morning. The incident occurred around 7 am.

According to the bus driver, several individuals signaled the bus to stop. After complying, the driver and his assistant were beaten and forced to get off, while passengers fled in panic. The attackers fired multiple rounds at the front windshield before setting the vehicle on fire.

Police arrived at the scene and seized the bus. Bus authorities allege that a person named Nesar, who had previously assaulted their staff over extortion demands, is linked to this attack.
