Miscreants stab youth to death after entering house in Khulna

Miscreants entered a house in Khulna and stabbed a youth to death. The deceased was identified as Monowar Hossain Togor. The incident occurred around 9:15pm on Friday (August 1) in the Sonadanga Shobujbagh area of the city. The victim, Togor, was the son of Jamal Howlader, a resident of the same area.

According to the police and locals, the deceased youth used to work as a painter. Around 9:15pm on Friday, some youths entered his house and stabbed him before he could realize anything. He was injured on the right side of his chest. The youth then fell to the ground. Later, when the locals came forward to hear his screams, the miscreants left the scene. At that time, locals rescued him and took him to Khulna Medical College Hospital for treatment, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

The victim's father, Jamal Howlader, said, "That night, Togor asked me to check who was at the gate. I opened the door, and three young men claimed to know Togor. I let them in, and they entered the house. I went to call Togor’s wife, and when I heard Togor scream, I hurried over and saw them fleeing. I found Togor lying on the floor."

Confirming the incident, Mohammad Shafiqul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sonadanga Model Police Station, said, "Last night, assailants entered a house in the Shobujbagh area and stabbed a young man. He was taken to Khulna Medical Hospital for treatment, and an investigation is currently underway."
