Mission Acharya to receive appointment letter after meeting Education Minister
Mission Acharya, who was finally selected in the recruitment examination for the post of assistant teacher at a government primary school but did not receive an appointment letter due to not having a permanent address, is finally going to receive his appointment letter. Assistant (Political) to the Prime Minister, Md Rashed Khan, said the matter of his appointment was finalised after a meeting with Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon on Sunday, October 4.
Earlier, Mission Acharya, a candidate from Jhenaidah Sadar upazila, complained that although he was finally selected in the 'Assistant Teacher Recruitment Examination 2025' for government primary schools, he did not receive an appointment letter. He alleged that he was not given the appointment because he does not have a permanent homestead. After news was published in the media on the matter, it came to the attention of those concerned. After learning about the matter from the media, Assistant (Political) to the Prime Minister Md Rashed Khan sent a DO letter or semi-official recommendation letter to the Education Minister requesting that his appointment be ensured.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, Md Rashed Khan said, "After a two-day visit to Chattogram and Cox's Bazar, I met the Education Minister with Mission Acharya to finalise the matter of his appointment. Later, the Education Minister finalised the matter of the appointment after speaking with the concerned authorities."
He also wrote, "I have learned by speaking with the permanent residents of my own district Jhenaidah's Sadar upazila that Mission Acharya has been living in Kolabagan of Sadar upazila since birth. He was born in this area and has been living in a rented house in this area to this day."
In the letter, highlighting Mission Acharya's struggle, it was said that he has been fatherless since childhood. Despite various adversities, his mother raised him with great hardship. He later completed higher education from the Finance and Banking Department of Islamic University and was finally selected in the assistant teacher recruitment examination for government primary schools, leaving a mark of merit.
The DO letter also mentioned that no allegations of any negative activities were found against him in the local investigation.
Considering all information and humanitarian aspects, Rashed Khan humbly requested the Education Minister to take necessary measures to give Mission Acharya an appointment letter for the post of assistant teacher as per the rules.
Meanwhile, as news of such an initiative by the Prime Minister's Office spread, locals hope that through this humanitarian step, a competent and meritorious young man will get back his rightful due.
