Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken with US President Joe Biden about the current situation in Bangladesh. At this time, the two leaders emphasised restoration of law and order in Bangladesh and ensuring safety and security of the minorities, particularly Hindus. Modi confirmed the conversation with Biden on his X handle (formerly Twitter) on Monday (August 26) night. He wrote, "I had a phone conversation with US President Biden today. At this time, we exchanged views in detail on various regional and global issues, including the situation in Ukraine.” The Indian Prime Minister also wrote, “We also discussed the situation in Bangladesh and emphasised the need to restore normalcy in the country as soon as possible. Besides, there was a discussion about ensuring the security of Bangladesh's minorities, especially Hindus.”

শেখ হাসিনা সরকারের বিদায়ের পর বাংলাদেশের বর্তমান পরিস্থিতি নিয়ে মার্কিন প্রেসিডেন্ট জো বাইডেনের সঙ্গে কথা বলেছেন ভারতের প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি। এ সময় দুই নেতা বাংলাদেশে আইনশৃঙ্খলা পুনঃপ্রতিষ্ঠা এবং হিন্দুদের নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করার ওপর জোর দেন। সোমবার রাতে নিজের এক্স হ্যান্ডলে (সাবেক টুইটার) বাইডেনের সঙ্গে ফোনালাপের বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেন মোদি। এক্সে ভারতের প্রধানমন্ত্রী লিখেন, ‘আজ মার্কিন প্রেসিডেন্ট বাইডেনের সঙ্গে আমার ফোনালাপ হয়েছে। এ সময় আমরা ইউক্রেন পরিস্থিতিসহ বিভিন্ন আঞ্চলিক ও বৈশ্বিক ইস্যুতে বিশদভাবে মতবিনিময় করেছি।’ তিনি আরও লেখেন, ‘আমরা&nbsp;বাংলাদেশের পরিস্থিতি নিয়েও&nbsp;আলোচনা করেছি এবং দেশটিতে দ্রুত স্বাভাবিক অবস্থা ফিরিয়ে আনার প্রয়োজনীয়তার ওপর জোর দিয়েছি। পাশাপাশি বাংলাদেশের সংখ্যালঘু-বিশেষ করে হিন্দুদের নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করার বিষয়ে আলোচনা হয়েছে।’
